Phuket border run: Satun or Ranong
Operating since 2012, we have carried more than 170,000 passengers.
A border run means leaving Thailand and applying for re-entry through a neighbouring country. People searching for a “visa run Phuket” often mean this trip. This service is a same-day border crossing rather than a consular visa application.
Re-entry and an extension at an immigration office are different procedures. The manager checks documents and entry history in advance. Once your trip is confirmed and you board our transport, we will bring you back to Phuket. Immigration decides on the entry stamp and permitted stay.
Satun: Malaysia by road
The Satun border run is a road route. Group departure from Phuket is around 00:00–01:00, returning around 14:00–15:00. Allow approximately 12–14 hours, subject to traffic and border processing.
Ranong: Myanmar with a boat crossing
The Ranong border run combines road travel with a bay crossing. Group departure is around 06:00–07:00, returning around 15:00–17:00; allow approximately 9–10 hours. The Ranong checkpoint is operating for nationalities listed in the Countries section. The manager confirms every request, as the situation can change.
- Group: a seat in a shared minibus.
- Private minibus: a vehicle dedicated to your party or family.
- VIP: a Toyota Alphard minivan or business-class car; the manager confirms the available vehicle.
See cabin photos on the transport page. We pick up from almost all of Phuket; the most remote locations are agreed with the manager. Share your area and location pin to confirm the exact pickup time and place.
Travel to the checkpoint yourself and use TVR assistance with border formalities. Transport from Phuket is not included in this format. Agree on the meeting point, time, route and documents before setting off. FREE PASS does not waive immigration requirements.
After confirmation, the trip follows these stages: pickup, travel to the checkpoint, departure from Thailand, neighbouring-country formalities, Thai re-entry and the return drive to Phuket.
Trips with our transport include the return transfer, a light breakfast, water, lunch on the way back and stops every 2–3 hours. Ranong includes the boat transfer. Confirm meal arrangements for your trip with the manager; opting out of meals is reflected in the quote.
Price, deposit and separate payments
The prices page separates the total, deposit and driver payment. Private formats show a vehicle charge plus a payment per passenger. FREE PASS has its own fare. Optional extras, including seat selection, are reflected in the booking calculation.
Submitting a request is free. Pay the deposit after the manager confirms and the balance to the driver on trip day; FREE PASS requires full prepayment. Pay the deposit by baht transfer to a Thai bank account, TrueMoney, transfer from a Russian bank to a Thai account or cash at the office. Ask the manager about transfers from Russia, as conditions change. Other methods are by agreement.
The deposit is refunded in full if you cancel at least 24 hours before departure. If less than 24 hours remain, the deposit is non-refundable.
Prepare your passport, current visa if applicable, entry stamp, accommodation details and onward travel information. Check your nationality category on the entry rules page. Complete a new TDAC for your return date, including for children. The manager will provide transport details for TDAC and help complete it if needed.
On group, private and VIP trips, children aged 10 and under pay no additional border fees. FREE PASS for children aged 0–10 must be arranged through the manager. Give each child’s exact age and agree seating, child seats and documents in advance.
The 180-day option is only for holders of a valid DTV. Re-entry limits depend on the entry category; selecting a booking option is not permission to enter Thailand.
Book on the website or contact a manager. Include your route, date, passengers, nationality, permitted-stay expiry and pickup location. The manager confirms eligibility, pickup and payment details.
